Our client is currently seeking a Consents Manager who will coordinate the processes of obtaining approval and consents from a range of bodies and authorities before a NNB can commence.
This role will includes providing support for detailed negotiations and discussions with a range of organisations. You will support the Head of Consents with expertise and advice on obtaining approvals and consents. You will also be responsible for managing the work of a small team of Consents Officers. You will be responsible for compiling documentation for approvals and consents applications in support of Nuclear New Build (NNB). You will also ensure that all documentation compiled in support of our clients applications for approvals and consents are timely, accurate and of good quality, with a full auditable trail.
You will identify resources and assistance required in the initiation, development and promotion of our clients applications for planning consent for NNB. As the Consents Manager you will coordinate within the consents team, wider directorate and relevant external organisations to share information, plan and clarify documentary requirements
You will develop and maintain expert knowledge of the approvals and consents process for NNB, providing advice and guidance across our clients group as required. You will provide a wide range of planning and consents support to the Head of Consents.
You will be a senior specialist with recent experience working in a planning role in the UK and with particular experience of the local approvals and consents process for large scale, high profile and complex capital projects. You will have experience in a multi-national environment and of working within a cross-functional team
You will be able to display knowledge of local and national planning regulations, trends and best practices as they apply to large scale, high profile and complex – ideally nuclear – projects. You will hold excellent knowledge and skills in a wide range of local planning issues for major projects – ideally with exposure to Local Government, Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), supply chain, other companies within the nuclear industry and the public sector
As you will have direct reports it is essential you have strong people management skills, relationship building, influencing and collaborative work style developed through working in complex and team-focused environments.
