 |
Job purpose:Reporting to the Director of Planning to lead and develop the planning aspects of multiple tenders in PFI (Private Finance Initiative), PPP (Public Private Partnership) other municipal disposal tenders and to assist in other planning work of the Group. Planning aspects include - site evaluation, planning strategy, input to tender documentation and planning submissions, methodology and risk management, approach to permitting issues, communications, PR strategy and permitting timetable. To help win new business and re-win existing business to maintain and increase the company's portfolio / market share and increase the revenue and profit margins of the company.To design a planning strategy that is realistic and deliverable within the planning timetable, to generate revenue and profit for the company and to avoid large financial penalties. Self management to ensure that work is completed to a high standard and delivered in the required timeframes. Responsible for effective communication and harmonised practice between the different aspects of the bid and multiple parties involved. Responsible for the translation of local planning constraints into facility design), environmental issues and impact, translation of planning constraints into environmental mitigation measures, communicating proposals to the public and other stakeholders on behalf of the company. Adhere to the timescales for bid submissions set by the client. After successful tendering adhere to the planning process to acquire approval for the building of facilities. Must adhere to project plans and specified timescales. Must adhere to the Investment Committee Process for project approvals and capital expenditure processes.
Qualifications / Experience - ESSENTIAL Degree in Planning, Environment or similar Technical and commercial knowledge in waste management Experience in planning policies, planning processes and expertise on environmental impact assessments. Planning experience with either PFI (Private Finance Initiative), PPP (Public Private Partnership) other municipal disposal tenders.
On offer is a salary of 35-44,000 + bonus and benefits and car however this is dependant on experience.
This position is based working a 12month fixed term contract with the view of extending or turning into a permanent role. For the right candidate interviews are available between the 16th - 22nd December with a view on a starting in January.
The role is based working out of the Kingscross / Euston area.
