Job Description |

 |
A Drive Systems Engineer, the role will be a Specialist within the Control, Electrical and Instrumentation (CEI) section of the Plant Design and Projects (PDandP) group of our client. The Drive Systems Engineer will report to the Lead Engineer Technology (Power).
ROLE PROFILE
•Design, specification and acceptance testing of plant electrical systems including MV/LV distribution, standby generation, UPS and motor drives. •Ensuring high standards of safety and reliability in design, installation and commissioning of electrical equipment. •Driving continuous improvement of core process technology. •Technology transfer to new clients and suppliers. •The role is based at Capenhurst, Cheshire with regular travel
QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE
•A good degree in electrical and electronic engineering •Experience in one or more of: MV/LV distribution, standby generation, power transformers, UPS, variable speed drives, power quality and EMC •A good understanding of electrical safety and capital investment protection •Experience of nuclear or process industries •Ability to lead technical discussions with suppliers, customers and internal disciplines. •A good working knowledge of French, German or Dutch would an advantage.
Other Requirements •A valid Security Clearance to SC level
