Job Description |

Reporting to the Maintenance Co-ordinator, the role will have specific plant area responsibilities assigned to it, and require full flexibility to take on other duties as required to support the other Engineers and Team Leaders within the section, and provide technical assistance to the rest of the team. There will be opportunities to become involved to some degree in all the maintenance disciplines.
The position will provide significant scope for the development of both technical and supervisory skills. To a large extent, the role will be shaped by the experience and background of the successful candidate and the needs of the section.
Typical responsibilities would include:-
•Co-ordinate day to day implementation of Electrical maintenance engineering activity, ensuring priorities are met. •Pro-active health, safety and environmental management. •Implementation of maintenance strategies. •Contract preparation and supervision as Technical Officer. •Budget preparation and control using SAP. •Project management and supervision including Plant Modifications. •Work and resource management and planning using Prism. •Representation at meetings. •Plant reliability investigations and fault diagnosis/ implementation of solutions. •Outage preparation and management. •Interfacing with other departments.
Person Specification:
The post would be ideally suited to an individual who wishes to develop within the maintenance field, or to enhance his/her Engineering experience, in a supervisory and technical capacity.
Flexibility would be the key attribute of the person most suited to the role. The successful candidate should have a core skill, and engineering qualifications leading to membership of a recognised institution.
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability to work on their own initiative in an office environment and on plant, to take ownership of problems and to communicate effectively with others. |

Qualifications Required |

| HNC qualified in the relevant engineering discipline. |
