We are currently looking for an Engineering Manager to oversee all engineering activities across our clients Nuclear Power Station in Suffolk.
Nature and Scope Key objectives are to ensure that nuclear safety and plant reliability is achieved through a rigorous programme of system health monitoring. This includes maintaining adequate oversight of system integrity and performance such that trends can be identified and analysed and that root cause analysis of defect, in-service deterioration, unreliability and performance shortfalls are supported by adequate data and results in appropriate mitigating action.
You will be responsible for leading and developing your team, and will have the ability to grasp strategic concepts and issues, as well as making a meaningful overall contribution to the senior management team. In addition to supporting the station team, you will be expected to make significant contribution to the development of fleet-wide improvements and support the Company equipment reliability objectives.
Skills and Qualifications Ideally, you will have experience in a technical, operations or engineering discipline and have held a senior supervisory position. You will be qualified to degree level or equivalent, in an engineering or technical field, and be working towards/have attained Chartered Engineer status.
Principal Accountabilities To succeed, you will need substantial knowledge of nuclear and conventional plant and a detailed knowledge of the site licence conditions and legislation associated with the safe operation of the plant. In addition, you will demonstrate excellent leadership skills and be a strong influencer with exceptional interpersonal skills and have a proven track record for delivering results.
