We are working with a leading oil & gas company that is steadily expanding. They are looking to recruit a Wireline Operations Manager with extensive knowledge of specialised Cased Hole and/or Open Hole equipment.
The role has the following responsibilities.
Control spending within the Division by reviewing all purchase requests ensuring full justification is provided and it fits with operational requirements on a daily basis. Ensure coding is appropriated to the correct cost center and all other relevant sections completed. Manage and monitor the working capital for the division.
Responsibility for reviewing Logging P & L prior to submission to line manager on a monthly basis. Verify accurate actual and accrual revenue data to line manager and company accountant.
Promote Wireline services product lines by using field experience and technical knowledge to provide solutions to customer problems at a technical level in the customer’s office or in-house when appropriate. Build relations with Client companies and develop further business.
Review and Ensure accuracy of Wireline Services’ service quality tools including TOPS. Including, but not limited to, Job data accuracy, PM/Pin checks completeness, Asset location and Asset transfer accuracy.
Review draft invoices for both ongoing and completed operations including inter-company invoicing. Sign off prior to submission to the customer, aim to lower DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) and prompt payment.
Direct the operational aspect of the division providing a structured focus to the team members with clear goals and objectives on a daily / weekly basis. Promote good working practices and safety standards plus full compliance with QHSE & QMS systems.
Design and develop existing product lines and services with a view to increase safety and provide an effective cost saving, increasing profitability, which relates to the divisions FOP (Field Operating Profit). Keep up to date with relevant industry advancements and requirements and advise senior management of the way forward.
Set annual objectives for direct reports. Manage performance of all direct reports, setting performance standards/targets in line with Division objectives, and taking corrective action where necessary.
In conjunction with Human Resources, be responsible for the recruitment of personnel in line with the Company’s Recruitment Policy & Procedure. Ensure that adequate succession planning is adopted and maintained in the department
QUALIFICATIONS:
Essential: HNC Electrical / Mechanical discipline.
Preferred: HND / Degree qualification in an Electrical / Mechanical discipline. Financial qualification.
SKILLS
1)Skilled in providing customer support by discussing planned operations in detail where required. Operate specialised software packages to simulate expected results. 3)Extensive knowledge of specialised Cased Hole and/or Open Hole equipment. 4)Proficient in writing work instructions relating directly to operational requirements. Skilled in customer relations, good communicator on all levels.
