Our client a leading company in the water sector are now recruiting for a Health & Safety Advisor to join their team in Rickmansworth.
Health & Safety Advisor Based in Rickmansworth - Covering the Thames Region Salary 33k - 38k
Summary of Role:
Our client is delivering a number of process plant refurbishment contracts for a major Water industry client around the South of the country including the London area. As the project has developed a role has arisen for an experienced Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor to support the existing Site Management and Safety team in managing mechanical and civil works associated with the installation of pressure and flow meters (and similar) on rising mains. Reporting to a Senior Project Manager this role will interface with the client, main contractors and various subcontractors. Ideally the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate relevant experience (1-2 years civil project site experience) and have a keen attention to detail.
Role Description:
•Undertake Health, Safety and Environmental inspections of Civil and other work •Attend project and client HSE meetings •Be the day to day HSE contact for the project delivery team and clients •Deliver HSE briefings – Toolbox talks, bulletins, pre-start etc. •Update of site HSE Manuals / SHE plan / SWMP etc. •Assist HSE and project management with safe delivery of site works
Essential Requirements:
•Minimum H&S qualification – NEBOSH Construction Certificate or Equivalent, supported with specific health and safety awareness training delivered by recognised training provider (IOSH, CITB, RoSPA, BSC etc) on subjects such as temporary works, subcontractor management, manual handling, first aid etc. •Excellent communicator at all levels •Current driving licence •Must be prepared to travel, with some stays away at customer sites
Desirable Requirements: •At least one years demonstrable site safety management experience
TO APPLY FOR THIS JOB YOU MUST BE NEBOSH QUALIFIED AND HAVE EXPERIENCE IN THE CONSTRUCTION SECTOR. WATER INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE WOULD BE ADVANTAGEOUS.
A FULL DRIVING LICENCE IS ESSENTIAL.
