My clients Human Factors Team is expanding their human factors business portfolio and, to assist with this expansion, we are looking to recruit a well-motivated, experienced human factors specialist. We are a growing a team of consultants providing human factors support across various clients in different industries. The background of the team is predominantly within the nuclear sector where we have a strong client base, but in addition to this we are actively developing opportunities in other sectors such as road and rail, to include both consultancy and research projects.
About the Role
We require a Human Factors Consultant to join our team based in our Manchester or Warrington office. As a member of our Human Factors Team you will be responsible for conducting human factors technical work across a number of industries. There are also on-going opportunities for assisting with business development and developing strategies for growth. The type of work you will carry out covers the range of through-life support, from provision of guidance to design teams to review of facility equipment in situ for improvement programmes to eventual facility decommissioning. These projects vary in timescale, location and industry and can involve all members of the team, offering flexible and dynamic work opportunities.
About You
You will have a degree in a relevant subject e.g. ergonomics, human factors, psychology, and a proven track record of working in high-hazard industries, ideally nuclear. You will be able to demonstrate experience of at least two of the following: Human Factors Integration Task Analysis Ergonomics Assessment Human Reliability Analysis In addition to your sound technical ability and experience, your personal qualities are also important to us. You will be able to demonstrate: Effective communication skills Ability to work effectively both individually and in a team Membership of a relevant professional institution A positive and proactive approach to supporting the client Commercial awareness A willingness to travel across the UK to client sites Full UK driving licence.
