There is an opportunity for an experienced instrumentation engineer to join a Top Tier COMAH site with a wide range of Safety Instrumented Systems
Summary of main responsibilities and activities: • Defines and implements effective maintenance plans • Analyses failures and proposes preventive measures • Analyses work requests technically and economically • Maintains accurate and auditable records of maintenance interventions • Works with other disciplines to improve overall plant reliability
Qualifications/skills:
Essential: • HNC/degree in Instrument Engineering or closely related discipline • Minimum 2 years experience in chemical or process production environment • Knowledge of industry standards for Safety Instrumented Systems, HAZOP, SIL etc • Knowledge of standards and legislation e.g. BSEN61508/61511, ATEX etc • Experienced in the maintenance of a broad range of pneumatic and electronic instrumentation • Committed to improving plant operations and reliability • Practical engineering skills and approach to problem solving • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Action oriented – able to build effective working relationships and achieve results
