	Job Description
	The successful candidate will be responsible for organising ad executing preventative, scheduled and breakdown maintenance activities within the Control systems throughout the Plant, so that plant availability is maximised. A demanding feature of the Instrument Technician’s role is in the diagnosis of faults often in complex systems. In this respect the postholder must fully comprehend the technical aspects of the system in his charge and be capable of relating these to process conditions and abnormalities. 	Qualifications Required
	The postholder should have completed a recognised apprenticeship, and typically will be HNC qualified or equivalent. Ideally,the postholder will have previous experience of working on a chemical plant
