We are currently searching for SC / DV cleared mechanical HVAC engineers for our client in the nuclear defence industry.
Job/Role Purpose • Member of the Project Development team. • Carry out BS & HVAC engineering support and advice as requested. • Undertake BS & HVAC design tasks and provide support to Engineering Managers and deliver appropriate designs to agreed time, cost and quality requirements • Contribute to the delivery of work packages and design solutions that fully comply with ESH, all applicable current and foreseeable forthcoming Legislation, British Standards and Design Standards.
• Ensure adequate design/quality in the following BS & HVAC areas: - Concept Design, Optioneering, Detailed Design, Manufacture, Process Integration. • Ensure RLI of quality of Nuclear Ventilation and Building Services engineering and compliance with the project process and procedures • Ensure the preparation and review of design solutions, which fully comply with all applicable current Legislation, British Standards and Design Standards to agreed time, cost and quality requirements • Ensure compliance, in all activities undertaken, with Company ESH requirements
Key Responsibilities • Provide advice and answer Technical Queries on matters relating to appointed discipline • Review and originate documentation • Review and originate design solutions which comply with specifications and user requirements; safety requirements; Legislation; British Standards, Codes of Practice and good engineering principles to agreed time, cost and quality • Use and communicate best practice in appointed discipline projects and services • Maintain effective working relationships with others • Contribute to integrated safety when producing engineering designs
Qualifications • Degree (BSc, BEng) or equivalent in mechanical engineering or related discipline • Chartered Engineer • Full member of an appropriate Institute
