	Job Description
	We are currently looking for a Chartered Mechanical Design Engineer with Steam Raising Plant and Rotating equipment experience. Experience Sought A Degree qualified chartered engineer. A knowledge of the process plant associated with Power Generation especially steam raising plant and mechanical handling systems. Good mechanical engineering experience of the design and selection of rotating equipment, high pressure systems including pipework to B31.3, pressure vessels to BS PD 5500, heat exchangers to TEMA, turbines etc. The Position Our client is a process led project based engineering design and project management organisation. The incumbent will join the team to provide mechanical engineering expertise to design activities across a number of CHP projects at various stages of development. The role is considered to be one of considerable seniority and will demand engineering leadership and guidance in the development of concepts and in the detailing of systems prior to installation. The incumbent will be a senior member of the team reporting directly to the Project Manager and taking a lead role in negotiations with suppliers and contractors.
