We are currently looking for a Nuclear Waste expert with experience of Proposal Management.
This position is to be part of a multi-disciplined bid team looking into engineering and manufacturing for a nuclear waste project. The position is within nuclear waste, to drive enquiry of the tender to successful completion. This would include, costing, reviewing terms and conditions, Project Management and commercial negotiation.
The terms and conditions involved would be NEC3, so the candidate needs to have an in depth knowledge of this and be able to work through NEC3 terms and conditions, fully understanding them in order to make recommendations.
The scale of the bid is the management of 0.5 billion – 1billion tons of waste.
Accountabilities: • Linking with and communicating with customers to ensure requirements have been accurately and correctly captured. • Develop and gain Commitment internally for Bid Programme • Production of Bid Directive • Co-ordination of data from functions within the business • Compiling estimating norms for Waste Management Systems and various elements of Nuclear Island components. • Conducting probabilistic analysis. • Challenge data received from functions and report on inconsistencies with industry standards. • Manage or support as appropriate the pricing/business evaluation process. • Ability to review, appraise and remedy NEC3, FIDIC and other construction Terms & Conditions.
Experience: • Minimum of 10 years experience of bids, proposals, estimating and the Commercial construct of the components identified for large capital programmes. • Must have background in Waste Management systems with a strong understanding and expertise. • Must have ability to cover the whole subject matter, understanding the issues and risks associated with Waste Management. • Candidate must have a background and understanding of NEC3, FIDIC and other construction Terms & Conditions. • Nuclear background preferable but would consider oil & gas experience.
Location: Based in Warrington, with 2 days a week in Derby
