Our client is currently looking for an experienced practitioner/subject matter expert to lead and develop a team of nuclear specialists in their Warrington office.
The role requires a proven track record in one of the organisations principle nuclear engineering competencies together with a desire to manage and expand their nuclear team.
The candidate should have a proven track record in one of the following technical competencies:
Nuclear safety case authorship and/or management Nuclear structural assessment, including elements of code compliance, fracture mechanics (R6) and high temperature creep (R5) Reactor performance and fault studies Critically, shielding or dosimetry
The candidate will need to demonstrate technical leadership skills for the development and successful delivery of work programmes to address particular client problems.
The successful candidate should have the desire to take line management responsibility for a diverse technical team, whose technical expertise may lie outside their own. This will involve using other company resources to mentor and develop the careers of the assigned staff. Direct line management responsibility is not a prerequisite, but clear evidence of the leadership of others in a project/professional context will be necessary.
This position will provide the opportunity to develop fledgling markets and to manage/develop key accounts. The right candidate with be able to have a significant impact on the growth and success of the Warrington office and the Nuclear Business Unit within the company.
