Our client is looking for a Planning Manager on a staff basis, working knowledge of Primavera required.
Position Summary:
Provide leadership in planning excellence across the Operate Business Development Unit (BDU) within the UKU Aberdeen team for all key activities associated with:
• Operations (onshore and offshore) • Projects • Maintenance • Shutdowns • Engineering • Wells • Supporting Functions (C&P, Commercial, HSSE etc)
The planning manager has 8 direct line reports - 3 Asset Planning Engineers, 3 Asset Schedulers & 2 Shutdown Planning Engineers.
Key Accountabilities:
• Responsible for ensuring that all planning and scheduling activities within the Operate Business Delivery Unit (BDU) conform to client standards. • Promote the Integrated Activity Planning & Scheduling (IAPS) programme across the Operate BDU. • Create and develop the planning competency and culture within the Operate team. • Provide a coherent and consolidated view of project controls that is accurate and makes sense to people in the context of their roles within all Operated Assets. • Develop and maintain Operate BDU 2 year & provide Operate input to the UKU 8 years integrated plans, liaise with Integrated Asset Planning Manager to integrate salient details into the UKU Business plans. • Chair of the Operate BDU quarterly planning sessions. • Chair root cause analysis on scopes not meeting their plans to assure continuous improvement. • Process owner and chair of planning Root Cause Analysis. • Process owner for Planning Management of Change within Operate BDU. • Process owner for Operate Track Coordinate Plan (TCP) process. • Identify and work with customers and key stakeholders to ensure priorities are set and complied with. • Demonstrate leadership qualities and cascade all Operated Assets vision, objectives and goals within the planning function including supplying support, mentoring and development of planning team. • Ensure embedded planners and schedulers are competent and capable of utilising the most effective planning tools. • Ensure that planning and scheduling KPI's are in place and maintained to a high standard, take action on improving the performance of KPI's. • Develop and provide a concise monthly OBDU planning report. • Ensure, at all times, activities can be adequately resourced to meet commitments. Identify shortfalls prior to them being made.
• Accountable for ensuring robust plans in place for :
- Annual Budget Plan Development & Achievability - 12 Week plans for operated assets - 6 week plans for operated assets - Bedding Plan - Shutdown plans - Minor mods engineering plans - Maintenance plans - Planning performance reports and action plans
