 |
Perform the full range of professional architectural activities requiring a high degree of technical judgment and resourcefulness in the planning; design and construction of projects in terms of equipment, functional requirements, room layout and facility costs. Review and evaluate customer's production needs and propose suitable solutions to remove bottlenecks and resolve cGMP issues. Provide experience for a range of layout, people and flow management issues particularly in Pharmaceutical and Biopharmaceutical environments including laboratories, Vivarium Facilities, Secondary Pharmaceutical Facilities, sterile fill/finish/packaging and warehousing facilities.
KEY REQUIREMENTS - Site Master Planning general layout input and management - Feasibility, scheme and detail design stage drawing creation and management - Co-ordination of a design to ensure good interface with all other disciplines - Value engineering input for cleanrooms, cleanroom finishes, integration with other disciplines, and equipment - Cost management in conjunction with Quantity Surveyors and equipment suppliers
CORE FUNCTIONS - To assist a Site Master Plan leader in recommending improvements to existing Pharmaceutical and Biopharmaceutical facilities. - To be a competent presenter to clients and professional bodies - Provide up to date technical advice to CEL and customers on Pharmaceutical and Biopharmaceutical standards.
SKILLS - Practical understanding of the implications of cGMP requirements and in-depth knowledge of cleanroom construction - Effective management of staff, and delegation of tasks and authority - Analyzing and identifying architectural elements of design for conformance with applicable regulatory standards, policies, and codes of practice - Ability to assess and prioritizing multiple tasks, projects and demands - Good interpersonal skills and able to work as part of a multi-discipline team - Personal qualities that include the ability to gain trust and confidence with a variety of clients as well as within the company - Customer focus, commitment to quality management and problem solving - Influencing skills including negotiation and teamwork - Proven analytical and negotiation skills. Able to implement solutions to customer production problems - In depth understanding of cost and programme drivers within a project
KNOWLEDGE - Degree or equivalent - Experience within the pharmaceutical/biotech business sector. - Previous experience of having worked with both a Pharmaceutical / Biotech company and contracting organisation.
