My client has a vacancy for a Project Delivery Manager to join their team
Job Purpose Reporting to the contract General Manager, the Project Delivery Manager is responsible for delivering a capital maintenance programme of wet infrastructure work (annual budget c2m, average project value c50k) at two nuclear licensed sites. In addition, the post holder is also responsible for delivering one-off, higher value (c250 - 1m) projects. Delivering this work involves managing a small project team consisting of project managers, site managers, and sub-contractors. Key Responsibilities for the role To achieve this you will: Ensure the delivery of projects is to the appropriate levels of quality, on time and within budget, in accordance with the programme schedule. Manage the programme budget, monitoring the expenditures and costs whilst ensuring the predicted client benefits are realised. Monitor the programme's overall progress, resolving issues and initiating corrective action as appropriate Manage and analyse any issues that may arise Build, manage and motivate the project delivery team. Be responsible for the quality assurance and overall integrity of the programme. Manage third party contributions to the programme as appropriate. Communicate with all stakeholders. Manage both the dependencies and the interfaces between projects. Manage the risks to the programme's successful outcome. Report progress of the programme at regular intervals to the client Skills, Knowledge and Experience Essential technical role requirements The job requires you to demonstrate: Knowledge of current Water Regulation legislation and OFWAT standards and procedures. Significant, demonstrable experience in project / programme management using leading methodologies and processes. Experience of managing multiple parties including Project Managers and third party vendors to deliver high profile and technologically innovative enterprise solutions. The ability to manage small teams working within a highly regulated site Understanding of budgetary control and resource allocation procedures. Ability to create a sense of community amongst the disparate members of the programme team Other essential role requirements The job requires: An understanding of data security and safe working practices A full UK driving licence Preferably SC Security Clearance Behavioural / Leadership The role requires individuals to: Instigate change initiatives in line with strategy and effectively address criticism and opposition to change to gain buy-in Embrace change initiatives and willingly adapt own approach and behaviour to the unique requirements of different situations. Demonstrate technical and professional knowledge and skills relevant to own senior manager role; develop sufficient technical knowledge to provide support to others, without becoming too involved in day-to-day delivery. Ensure existing customers and stakeholders receive the best possible service; spend time with key customers to pursue additional opportunities to grow the business; seek out new customers and develop relationships in line with the companies strategy. Put in place clear risk management processes to guide decision making within the organisation; maintain awareness of the full breadth of potential risks (current and future) and balance these with the organisational needs/goals; know when to be risk averse.
