Matchtech are currently recruiting for an Oil and Gas HSSE Manager to work in Central London. The candidate will have a background in either onshore or offshore projects and hold a NEBOSH diploma.
Role Description
Responsible for facilitating and organising HSSE processes across a project during the detailed design phase to ensure a proactive approach to HSSE management including goal setting, planning and implementation of processes. And, To support Project Manager in achieving Project HSSE requirements.
Duties
The preparation, issue and revision of the HSSE Management Plan for detailed design phase.
Promote an enthusiastic HSSE culture that delivers positive commitment to, and engages all project team members.
Assist in the development of Project HSSE Goals and Objectives in line with project and company requirements.
Lead the provision of guidance, support and challenge with respect to HSSE issues.
Identify and raise any areas of HSSE risk to line management.
Maintain awareness of Client HSSE requirements, Amec Guiding Principles and actively promote adherence with Industry Best Practice.
Develop and maintain project HSSE interface documents, project plans etc. and monitor for compliance.
Support onshore/offshore construction and engineering teams with HSE guidance.
Review and endorse requisitions for compliance with project HSE requirements.
Provide input and support the subcontractor/supplier evaluation processes and monitor subcontractor/supplier performance.
Management Client HSSE interface and to challenge risk control strategies within the project.
Keep updated with industry best practice for HSSE management and seek to introduce into the project
Provide HSSE coaching skills to accident and incident investigations.
To organise/perform HSSE awareness sessions during the course of the project with the aim of promoting a positive HSSE culture.
To convene and attend meetings concerning project HSSE Management matters as appropriate.
To plan and lead (as necessary), HSSE assessment visits/audits to suppliers and sub-contractors as agreed.
Monitor lagging and leading HSSE performance criteria and prepare HSSE performance reports at scheduled frequencies.
Experience required
Qualifications: Technically qualified professional (or equivalent) UK Bachelors Degree (or equivalent) NEBOSH Diploma/BSC Level 6 Diploma
Professional: Graduate or Chartered Member of IOSH Associate or Full Member of IEMA
This role will be based in London and will involve periodic travel within EU. Essential Requirements: Oil & Gas experience, Degree educated
