	Job Description
	A large nuclear defence site based in Plymouth are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to work in the Material section. Someone who has previously served in the Navy and has an ONC/HND in Marine Mechanical Engineer would be of interest to the client Primary Purpose To develop the material technical descriptions including QA status ensuring that the relevant details are available for the planning & procurement processes and provide technical support as required by the material section. Principal Tasks & Responsibilities Raising and amending QASORs as required Investigate existing technical data enhancing where necessary Provide technical support to the parts creation team Liaising with MOD departments To resolve queries/issues and providing feedback to relevant groups Dealing with and resolving technical queries from suppliers and develop specifications Re-approval of QASOR's Identification, sourcing and obtaining technical information in support of equipments requiring overhaul/renewal Developing the material master to ensure all materials required in support of the programme can be purchased from suppliers Qualifications A ONC or HNC or equivalent in an an engineering discipline providing a sufficient engineering foundation to enable: the reading and interpretation of engineering drawings the identification of difference engineering materials an understanding of material conditions Sufficient knowledge of nuclear engineering production or design tasks would be desirable Sufficient experience with company quality assurance processes and/or procedures which provide assurance in meeting ISO9001, SSP 25, SSCP 38, AQAPS and CD03-GEN-002 would also be desirable To apply for this position, candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UKMatchtech Group Plc is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
