The Quality Controller – Documentation (QCD), will be working across all Offshore Wind Projects (UK & Europe) ensuring the best practice of project execution, documentation, standards, and processes to be implemented. The Quality Department will be working across different expert groups within the company, e.g. Project Management, Technical Expert Groups, Commercial etc.
This is not a pure quality document control position, initially there will be some document management, however, this role will be working at a higher level with management across different sites and Offices around Europe. The role of the Quality CD is a high profile position with support at Director Level.
As Quality Controller – Documentation, you will be responsible for understanding document control and information management activities as they pertain to policy and commercial implications. At a high level, the QCD will manage documentation across numerous offshore projects; provide procedures, processes, oversight, leadership, guidance, assessments, audits and strategies relating to information management and document control while coordinating the overall information management process including monitoring the contractor's performance and processes. You will be required to resolve report issues that could potentially impact final documentation quality, cost or schedule and ensure contractor complies with coordination procedures and/or standard practice instructions.

The QCD role is a new role and hasn't been fully developed but we believe that as a start, the below description will give the basic understanding of the expectations to come.
Main Responsibilities:
• Usage to Super-User level of company Document Management Systems • Set up document standards, templates, procedures & processes along side the company standard. • Most important is to build up a document structure and the project management system for which we have a lot of information. • Set up and manage information flow between the company and contractors • Evaluate contractor control processes and lessons learned • Based on the Information Management specifications, facilitate the development of document control work instructions and processes for contractor document control • Ongoing evaluation of the contractor's information management and document control processes including quality of work, performance and adherence to requirements • Ensure effective management of information flow between project team and contractors • Review and audit contractors Master Document Register (MDR) and Supplier Master Document Register (SMDR) for vendors and suppliers • Ensure compliance with Technical Integrity Performance Standards • Working with Offshore team to support and facilitate all aspects of Electronic Document and Data Management System 'Livelink' • Ability to create well structured and meaningful reports • Interface with functional representatives as required • Liaise and communicate clearly, constructively and positively with other internal departments/ external parties to ensure efficient document and information transfer, storage and recovery • Occasional travel to sites & offices around Europe may be required. Education/Qualification: Higher Level of Education preferred. Experience, Skills, knowledge, strengths
• Experience in Document Management systems, processes and procedures • Extensive technical document control experience in the Engineering Industry • Strong organisational, management and coordination skills • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills • Good understanding of engineering documentation, and the ability to read and understand engineering drawings, documents and procedures in order to process • Proficient with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Vision, MS PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat Professional • Conflict resolution, time management and project management skills are essential . • Attention to detail • Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads and frequent changes in priorities • Capable of working autonomously • Working knowledge of SAP • Experience of working cross culturally and across global locations
