One of our major clients in Aberdeen has opened up a new area of their business and have a requirement for a rotating equipment engineer ideally with past experience in gas turbines and heavy pumps.
The prime responsibility of this role is to deliver technical support for Rotating Equipment including provision of identification of improvement opportunities in the client arena.
Key Responsibilities and Duties: • To be the responsible person for the resolution/implementation of performance improvement issues relating to the assigned rotating equipment service subcontracts • Monitors and report contract performance and progress in accordance with contract requirements • Manage Subcontracts, operational reviews and ensure that best value is obtained in the delivery of subcontract activities. • Lead identified equipment and/or service improvement activities. • To provide an improvement focus for all rotating equipment matters across the client contracts ensuring good relationships and that lessons learned are shared and implemented. • Contribute to the delivery of relevant client strategies • To work with Project Managers and administrative function on all contract invoicing matters, terms & conditions as appropriate
Health, Safety and Environment Responsibilities: • To comply with Client quality, safety and environmental management systems and procedures at all times • Ensure all accidents/incidents/near misses/hazards are immediately reported and relevant paperwork is completed
Qualifications and/or experience: • A relevant technical qualification such as HNC/degree in a recognised engineering discipline • Previous experience in resolving operational issues for a range of rotating equipment including both driver and driven equipment • Oil & gas experience is preferred
Knowledge/Skills: • Suitable awareness of commercial/contract management • Root Cause Analysis techniques • Offshore certification
Personal Qualities: • Good facilitation and teamworking skills • Good communication skills
Physical Requirements: Office based role with offshore visits/overseas travel.
