	Job Description
	Our Client requires Safety Specialist. These are contract positions, starting ASAP, until January 2012. Candidates MUST have a minimum of SC Clearance, and be prepared to undergo Clearance for DV Status. Qualifications Numerate degree or equivalent (preferably engineering or physics) Significant experience in the production of Safety Cases and/or Safety Case further qualification Knowledge Good understanding of the requirements of a modern standards safety case, including hazard identification and fault analysis techniques Good understanding of safety case processes include approval Good understanding of the project lifecycle and the relationship with staged safety case reports Understanding of assurance management arrangements (policies and standards), legal requirements and the NII Licence Conditions Experience Experience of the preparation of safety case documents relating to nuclear and other high hazard facilities Proven track record of delivering to time, cost and quality Skills Good judgement including the ability to make decisions on complex arguments Ability to produce safety submissions and associated documentation. Ability to carry out HAZID studies. Numerate and good writing skills. Use of Excel, Word and other Microsoft Office packages
