	Job Description
	We are currently searching for Senior Cost Engineers to work on projects within the nuclear sector. Our client is seeking a Cost Engineer to support a major programme within the Nuclear industry. This business sector involves working on high value, strategically important projects which are high profile within the clients organisation. You will be expected to deliver cost engineering activities on site for the client and form part of a team. Ideally we are looking for experience in the nuclear industry but we will consider candidates with experience in the petro-chemical or pharmaceutical industries. The responsibilities Provision of a quality cost engineering service to single or multiple projects. Development and application of project controls and techniques to specific project services. Guidance, care and mentoring of staff. The requirements Member of the Association of Cost Engineers - or qualified by experience Conversant in all aspects of cost engineering with an understanding of the industry sector SAP experience Ability to prepare, monitor and forecast budgets during design, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning phases of a project Ability to prepare, monitor and forecast expenditure profiles Ability to prepare cost reports, including earned value identifying critical areas, trend analysis and early warnings Ability to prepare Anticipated Final Cost reports for client review The provision of cost details in support of a risk review process Provide and manage the cost framework, systems and resources to deliver an effective Cost Control (including change control) and reporting service to clients Effective and efficient administration of project accounts Productive supervision of staff including adequate monitoring and control Referral of potential problem areas to Team Leader Client interface level of responsibility on a project basis in conjunction with senior grades Ability to work with the minimum of supervision and on own initiative Ability to communicate well at all levels Knowledge and understanding of the component parts of a project and overall construction costs.
