 |
A large Nuclear client based in the South West are looking for a Design Engineer with strong Structural experience.
Primary Purpose
Supervising and undertaking professional design tasks and/or design substantiations for the repair/development of Nuclear Safety Related and Non Nuclear Facilities throughout their life cycle.
to deliver professional advice and support for the definition, achievement and maintenance of the design intent5 of structures and equipment supporting Nuclear and non Nuclear facilities owned and operated by the licensee/company.
Principle Tasks
Supervising, preparing and/or checking designs, analysis, graphical models, reports, drawings, specifications and other documents in support of Nuclear and Non Nuclear related plant, facility and equipment within the company's licensed, authorised and operation sites, or in support of external contracts.
Ensure Documents produced in support of Nuclear Category 1, 2 or 3 plant is of the quality of design commensurate with the DNSP's
Support development, construction, installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of all facilities to ensure that they comply with the design intent and DNSP's for Nuclear related works, together with all relevant Local and National Regulations and Legislation.
Participate in the development of CAD and Modelling systems for the technical solutions to deficiencies or in the development of new designs.
Must be able to demonstrate a level of competence that is equivalent to at least a graduate level understanding of engineering theory use of analysis and design codes and programmes, sure of inventor and Autocad and a understanding of DRDL procedures and a portfolio of examples of originated project deliverables including several Nuclear related, several Dockyard related as well as several to demonstrate breadth of engineering experience.
They are required to hold qualifications in a relevant discipline (i.e Building, Civil/Structural Engineering). Minimum HNC with ideally a degree and have achieved Chartered Engineering Status.
