	Job Description
	A large Nuclear Defence site are looking for an experience Electrical Engineer who has SC or DV clearance Job/Role Purpose Member of the Engineering Team Undertake and provide technical support to design tasks as allocated by Engineering Managers / Principal Engineers on a daily basis and deliver appropriate designs to agreed time and quality requirements Contribute to the delivery of work packages and design solutions that fully comply with ESH, all applicable current and foreseeable forthcoming Legislation, British Standards and Design Standards Key Accountabilities Ensure Quality of Engineering in discipline and compliance with the appropriate Project Process Ensure that safety is integrated at all stages of engineering design and review Ensure the preparation and review of design solutions, which fully comply with all applicable current Legislation, British Standards and Design Standards to agreed time, cost and quality requirements Ensure compliance, in all activities undertaken, with Company ESH requirements Key Responsibilities Provide advice and answer Technical Queries on matters relating to appointed discipline Review and originate documentation Review and originate design solutions which comply with specifications and user requirements; safety requirements; Legislation; British Standards; Codes of Practice and good engineering principles to agreed time, cost and quality Use and communicate best practice in appointed discipline projects and services Maintain effective working relationships with others Contribute to integrated safety when producing engineering designs Knowledge Electrical building services covering; LV distribution, general power distribution, lighting systems, fire detection and alarms, lightning protection systems Good understanding of electrical design / installation / testing / commissioning experience Hazardous area installations (DSEAR) HV and LV distribution for Utility supplies Safety systems, practices and safety administration Work in commercial and industrial environments, and regulated environments (useful but not essential) Good knowledge of applicable regulations, standards and codes of practice relative to the above subjects Qualifications Degree (BSc, BEng) in electrical engineering field Chartered Engineer Full member of an appropriate Institute (Experience may be considered in lieu of qualifications) Experience Experienced in the design of electrical services, both distribution systems and building services, in a diverse range of facilities Special Requirements Fit and able to work within a radiological environment Capable of achieving full DV clearance To apply for this position, candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UKMatchtech Group Plc is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
