Job Description |

 |
We are working with a leading multinational provider of engineering services within the nuclear, oil and gas, renewable energy and other industries. As a result of their involvement in existing nuclear sector and new-build projects, they need to expand their existing team.
In operations and Maintenance The key responsibilities of the post: •Performance of System Health and System Safety Reviews for a wide range of Electrical, Mechanical, and Control and Instrumentation equipment. •Support to BE stations in the analysis and resolution of arising operational problems. •This includes the analysis of system failures for root causes, the preparation of safety submissions, the authoring or verification of plant modifications, optioneering studies. •Review and development of preventive and predictive maintenance requirements for selected systems Production of System Lifetime Plans in support of Plant Lifetime Extension substantiation Development of Ageing Management processes for the AGR Fleet Probabilistic Safety Analysis (PSA) and Hazards analysis in support of plant operation and nuclear safety case production
Essential Qualifications Applicants should ideally be qualified to a minimum standard of:
HNC/HND (having achieved or be working towards I Eng) or degree level (having achieved or be working towards Chartered status) in a relevant discipline (engineering, physics, mathematics or similar technical discipline) or hold an appropriate equivalent professional qualification. Desirable Qualifications Client qualification - BE AV2 or AV1 Safety Case Author/Verifier Experience Required •Proven engineering experience within an engineering and equipment reliability function. •A high level of station contact is required, including periodic visits to power station sites. •Experience of direct liaison with customers
Familiar with Quality Assurance processes Planning and Bid Management.
Experience in any of the following plant areas: • AGR Boilers • Vessel and Pipework Systems • Emergency Generation • Nuclear Fuel Route Systems • Gas Systems
Security clearance is required for this role but can be applied for after successful interview if it is not already in place. |
