	Job Description
	My client has a vacancy for a Senior General Foreman to join their team. Job Profile The project is part of the overall Severn Trent Water Framework to deliver both Wastewater Treatment and Water Production projects over the forthcoming AMP 5 period, a number of new Water Production projects are due on site in the next 6 months and delivery teams are being recruited. Key Tasks & Responsibilities Responsibility for the safe construction of a number of schemes with a value of 500,000 to 7.5M In Severn Trent's area of operation. • Health, Safety and Welfare performance of the project to industry leading standards. • Delivery of the works to time and budget • Construction of a product that meets all quality standards required and is free of defects when handed over into service. • Leading the customer and other stakeholder relationships and developing a culture of collaboration for satisfaction of all parties. • Developing and managing the input of supply chain partners on site. • Ensure health and safety regulations are adhered to and monitor and control SHE performance on site. • Be the lead for the construction works on site. • Overseeing own labour and subcontractors on site and construction of the works to specification and to programme. • Carry out Tool Box Talks and Start of Shift Briefings. • Ensure that records are kept for work performed, problems experienced, average labour force in each area, communications to/from client, sub-contractor and third parties. • Be familiar with & operate to the Project Management Plan. A number of schemes are due to commence from November 2011 and will continue to the end of the Amp5 period; March 2015. The schemes will be a mixture of civils (reinforced concrete water retaining structures, buried and above ground pipework and general building), mechanical and electrical works at a number of Severn Trent's Water Production Sites. Person Specification Essential (minimum required) • Extensive experience of the construction industry • Ideally experience of working on civil projects within the Water/Wastewater Sector. • Track record of managing the interface between Civil, Mechanical & Electrical sub-contractors on Water Production Sites. Please note with is a site based role and could be located any where in the Severn Trent region although this is likely to be based between Coventry and Gloucester.
