	Job Description
	Our client is currently seeking a Senior Project Engineer who will be responsible for the design, manufacture and oversight of the commissioning of major mechanical components or systems within NSSS. The successful candidate will work with the DIN NSSS Coordinator to ensure technical specifications are produced in a consistent manner, and assist with increasing intelligent customer capability within the design authority You will be required to support project engineering of the NSSS Long Leadtime Item procurement and develop an understanding of NSSS design and safety case sufficient to act in the capacity of "intelligent customer". You will review reviews contractor submissions (Functional Specs, Equipment Specs, Quality Plans, Systems Design Manuals) to ensure design integrity is maintained. You will be degree qualified and ideally have experience of LWR reactor pressure vessel, piping and rotating plant. You will have experience of mechanical engineering in a nuclear context such as in the design or assessment of pressure vessels, pressure systems to nuclear design codes. You will ideally be a Chartered Engineer and have experience with a UK nuclear regulator. You will have knowledge of the design, manufacturing and commissioning of nuclear pressure vessels and mechanical components and their interaction with the design and safety case. You will ideally have some experience with development or review of PWR safety cases and experience in materials used for manufacture of nuclear components.
