	Job Description
	We are working with a prestigious client involved in the development of cutting edge technology within the subsea and downhole markets. They are opening a new research and development facility based in Stirling that will concentrate on new product development within the above fields. The recruitment process is being handled through Energen Personnel and is progressing apace. We seek experienced senior and principal subsea/downhole tooling engineers to develop a range of technology within subsea and associated disciplines. As a senior/principal engineer, you will be expected use your experience and knowledge to guide the product development process and where necessary mentor less experienced engineers/designers to ensure products are progressing along the correct lines. You will work closely with other engineers of a similar level as well as analytical specialists who will ensure the integrity and safety of the products being designed. There will be no trial-and-error engineering culture. Required: A good mechanical engineering degree + a minimum of 6/7 years experience mostly within a related product line as well as a background in new product development.
