	Job Description
	A large Nuclear Defence client are looking for an experience Nuclear Engineer with a Mechanical background. To work on this Nuclear site the candidate must already be security cleared or be able to obtain security clearance. The Nuclear Engineering Branch (NEB) offers direct support to production during work on Fleet time submarines in RAMP/DRP to enable nuclear implicated work to be conducted safely and in accordance with the relevant Safety Case. This involves the provision of Nuclear Procedures, Nuclear Technical Instructions and Nuclear Logics. All of the above are produced by SNEs/NEs for approval by the appropriate PAG. The successful candidates will, after appropriate training, be required to work on any or all of the above along with providing technical input and advice on nuclear repair to support project, production, plant managers and design/safety case teams. A Nuclear engineer with a Mechanical background is essential Qualifications & Requirements: Our client would ideally like a CAT A or B Watchkeeper HNC or equivalent in an Mechanical discipline. Apprenticeship or equivalent in an Mechanical discipline. The successful candidates will be required to hold or pass the mandatory technical courses NWSC (NDOC), NSQAC and DNSC. A basic understanding of the NSRP systems. An understanding of ALARP. An understanding of departmental procedures relating to NP production, Health and Safety and Quality. A good understanding of the need for a Safety Case. Able to communicate effectively. Computer literate (Word, Auto sketch).
