Senior Planner - Civil Engineering - Tunnelling Based - London Basic Salary £75,000 - £80,000 plus Executive Package Our Client is a global player within the Construction sector; they are internationally renowned for Engineer-Procure-Construct (EPC) schemes and have been involved in some of the world's largest and most complex engineering projects. Having secured a substantial volume of high profile contacts across Europe they are recruiting senior individuals into their business to strengthen specific project teams. They are now actively seeking to appoint an experienced Senior Planner/Project Controls Manager to join an established team providing support to the delivery of a £2.2Billion tunnelling specific infrastructure scheme. This position reports directly into the Project Director although you will functionally sit under the existing Programme Controls Manager. The primary function of this position includes management of all features of Project Control, Project Scope, Change, Risk and Cost, with specific focus on the Scheduling aspect. Ability to liaise between multiple Project Teams and Stakeholders including the organisation of related meetings is a key feature of this role. Project Status updates will be regularly required and it is the responsibility of this individual to produce and interpret these reports. The successful individual will lead all monthly progress meetings, detailing status and possible issues with the wider project team – promoting a transparent system that ensures all progress information is accurate and agreed with the entire team. Project success will be obtained through developing a transparent and successful relationship with all project teams and Stakeholders. The Requirements: To be considered for the role individuals must demonstrate a working knowledge of UK Construction Industry techniques. Individuals must have a range of relevant qualifications including an HNC or above coupled with a solid range of experience in a construction related field. Experience with Primavera P6 is essential to this role. Knowledge of NEC contracts would be beneficial. Individuals must have hands-on experience of resource loading and earned value management systems. |
