	Job Description
	Our Client is looking for a Senior Planner. This is a permanent position based in Sicily, Italy. The Project Controls & Estimating Department is responsible for controlling and monitoring projects in terms of time and costs, with project values generally ranging from £50 million up to approximately £2 billion for both short and long term Power Generation EPC projects. Operating in a multidisciplinary team, the Senior Planner reports to the Project Controls Manager and is responsible for setting up a schedule, then tracking and monitoring this schedule, providing the Project Manager with essential input for the management of the project. This requires insight and experience in various execution methods both in the home office and at site, combined with a high level of communication, both formal and informal. Key responsibilities: Setting up a Project Milestone Schedule during the Proposal Phase, including benchmarking and schedule risk analysis. Providing a detailed plan during various project phases. Evaluating and assessing planning of (sub)contractors. Monthly progress reports, providing advice on corrective actions if required. Regular risk assessments with recommendations for mitigations. Providing input for change orders. Provide creative solutions when project plans change. Communication of the above, both internally (project team/management) and externally (clients). Minimum Requirements: Significant experience of working in a similar role within multi-facetted project controls teams working on large scale heavy engineering projects. Strong Primavera skills (P6 preferred - P3e or greater acceptable). Strong interpersonal/communication skills. Experience leading a team. Strong Microsoft Office suite skills. Self starter, able to work with little direction. Worldwide mobility (both short and long term assignments). Foreign site experience would be desirable, as would experience of maintenance planning or operational plant. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
