	Job Description
	Our client is currently looking for Chartered Structural Engineers to work on high profile projects for the nuclear defence industry. Requirements • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering • You must be a Chartered Engineer - please ensure this is clearly stated in your CV • Experienced in the design of structural elements in both structural steelwork and reinforced concrete, to current design standards and working practices • Practical experience of reinforcement design and detailing of heavy reinforced concrete structures, to British and American codes • Proven experience working on varied major projects within varied industries • Excellent communication and presentation skills • Ability to manage and work within budget and programme, to control costs and manage change control • Commercially aware with a flexible attitude to both the type of work undertaken and the level of responsibility given • Working knowledge of relevant structural design software e.g. Abacus, Robot, ETABS, Staad Pro • Ability to guide and mentor junior members of the team • You must hold a valid CSCS card Responsibilities • Preparation of structural briefs, scope of works • Undertaking independent studies and analysis and preparing recommendations and conclusions for formal review of projects • Produce completed outline design and detailed design works information • Liaison with Clients, Contractors, design team and third parties • Offer support and guidance to more junior members of the team • Effectively manage own time which may be necessary if allocated to more than one project • Working with CAD Technicians to produce relevant structural information • Structural design using design software packages To apply for this position, candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UKMatchtech Group Plc is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
