	Job Description
	My client have a vacancy for a Team Leader to join their their water division due to expansion. This role is similar to a Principal Engineer(Design) and Project Management role. Team Leader Due to an expanding workload my client has an opportunity for an experienced Principal Engineer / Project Manager to lead a multi disciplinary design teams for a Water Utility client on the Engineering Centres of Excellence Workpacks. Based in the South West London Office. Requirements The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following: Qualifications Degree qualification within Civil Engineering and should be a Chartered Engineer Project Management qualifications would be beneficial but not essential for the role Essential Criteria Significant experience of working in the Water Industry, particularly in the areas of Wastewater and Water Treatment Works and sewerage (including UIDs) and water supply networks A driven individual capable of motivating multi disciplinary teams to meet deadlines and design standards Sound Civil Engineering Experience to lead a Civil Discipline Team Ability to contribute to the project management of detailed design projects Previous experience of preparing conditions of contract and specifications Previous experience of working with off-shore design teams Delivering designs to budget and quality Strong analytical skills Excellent communication skills Desirable Criteria Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel proficient Experience/knowledge of producing detail design schedules Responsibilities Reporting in to the Chief Engineer, the key responsibilities will be: Project Management Attendance at meetings with Water Utility client and developing client relationships Engineering design Leadership of a multidisciplinary team Setting budgets for the detail design of projects Reporting progress and monitoring cost Development and challenge of engineering solutions from concept design Comply with H&S requirements and CDM regulations and incorporate design for safety Progress reporting Technical Provide technical support to the Civil Engineering team Undertaking technical work, including reviews and design Production of innovative engineering design solutions Co-ordination of design and drawings Ideally hydraulic design knowledge / experience in open channel flow and pressure pipe systems relating to WTW, WwTW Sewerage and Water Supply.
